South Korea to buy 20 TA-50 Block 2 aircraft

South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) said it had awarded Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) a $573 million contract for 20 TA-50 Block 2 aircraft.

Japan to establish EW unit at Kumamoto next year

Japan’s Nikkei newspaper reported on Jun. 29 that Tokyo will establish an electronic warfare (EW) unit at JGSDF Camp Kengun in Kumamoto next year.

U.S. Army’s 1st Special Forces Group training in Taiwan

Taiwan has admitted that U.S. troops has been training on the island after a video made by the U.S. Army’s 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) last year showed the soldiers boarding a Black Hawk helicopter with Republic of China markings.
