MV-22 assisting in rescue of Osprey that went down had to land on padding

A MV-22B with VMM-262 was forced to land on padding after its landing gear failed to work as the Osprey return to Futenma after assisting in the rescue effort of another Osprey that went down off Okinawa on Dec. 13.

Marine Corps spokeswoman Capt. Sarah Burns said the incident was not classified as a mishap since there was no damage to the aircraft.
