XS694 was the first Kestrel to be delivered to the Tripartite Evaluation Squadron (TES), a unit staffed with pilots from Britain, West Germany and U.S. to evaluate the aircraft.

It later went to NASA for evaluation and was lost in an accident on Aug. 27, 1967.
