Eight F-35Bs which are less than a year-go each have been delivered by VMFA-122 and VMFA-211 to VMFA-121 at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan.

These jets were flown straight to MCAS Yuma from the factory at Fort Worth, Texas. They were flown and maintained there by VMFA-122 and 211 to reduce operating costs before all eight are transferred to Japan.
