Untold story of how CIA stole SA-2 guidance pod in Indonesia

A new book by Daniel Cameron, a CIA agent based in Indonesia, has revealed how the agency was able to steal manuals and guidance pod of the SA-2 surface-to-air missile during the 1960s.

The intelligence haul was important for the Americans to develop countermeasures to the missile during the war in Vietnam.

The station in Indonesia also obtained designs of the KRIĀ Irian, Sverdlov-class battlecruiser that was sold to Indonesia, the Whiskey-class submarine, the SSN-2 Styx anti-ship missile and the Tu-16 bomber.
