For the first time, a Russian Air Force A-50 AEW&C has been intercepted near Japan by the JASDF.
Two Tu-95s, two Su-24s and an A-50 flew over the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan off Hokkaido on Wednesday, prompting Japan to scramble fighters.
