Rare dual engine failure lead to F/A-18D crash

The U.S. Navy determined that the F/A-18D crash in Virginia was caused by a rare dual unrelated engine failure.

The pilots noticed a problem even before the jet was airborne, once in the air the right engine failed and the left engine could not produce enough power to keep the plane airborne.
