Texas Sen. John Cornyn has blocked the nomination of Gen. Mark Welsh as the next U.S. Air Force chief of staff.

Cornyn says he will only lift the hold after his concerns with the sexual assault scandal at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas has been addressed.
