F-15E pilot was disoriented before crash

An investigation by the U.S. Air Force concluded that the pilot of a F-15E flying out of an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia had become disoriented before crashing into a radio tower.

The board also found that the F-15E’s electronic attitude director indicator was not active on the pilot’s HUD.
