DARPA has invited the industry to an 18-month evaluation on how to achieve air superiority once the F-22 and F-35 are retired.
Frank Kendall, the under secretary of defense for acquisition, said in a memo that “it is not too early to begin consideration of the next generation of capability that will someday complement and eventually replace the F-35.”
