A new study by the GAO found that the U.S. Air Force and Navy are not following the “best practices to enhance the credibility of the cost estimates for the F-16 and F/A-18 upgrades and life extensions.”
While the report praised both services’ estimate costs were of high-quality, both failed to reflect all potential costs.
