USAF’s F-22s, F-35s and legacy fighters to fight using combat cloud

Gen. Michael Hostage, head of Air Combat Command, recently spoke to AOL Defense Board of Contributors, Dr. Robbin Laird and retired Air Force Lt. Gen. David Deptula, on this new vision of air operation called the combat cloud.

This new concept of operation will link all the deployed aircraft together using secured datalinks to form this cloud. Legacy aircraft can be used to extend the network of this cloud and provide reinforcing fires.
