MV-22s land on USS Bonhomme Richard

VMM-265 chose Thailand as the location to carry out the first MV-22 landing on board USS Bonhomme Richard on Feb. 19.

130219-N-VA915-079 GULF OF THAILAND (Feb. 19, 2013) ?An MV-22 Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 takes off from the flight deck of the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) as another Osprey prepares for take-off. The Bonhomme Richard ARG, currently on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, is taking part in Cobra Gold, a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored multinational joint exercise designed to advance regional security by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
