Seoul decides not to join U.S. BMD system

South Korea has declined to join the U.S.-led missile defense system, Seoul will focus on developing its own program instead.

On Tuesday, U.S. President Barack Obama both countries agreed to jointly invest in missile defenses. A South Korean spokesman clarified that the scope is only limited to intelligence sharing.
