I-400 submarine’s final resting place discovered

Researchers at the University of Hawaii and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have discovered the final resting place of Japanese aircraft carrying submarine I-400.

The World War II submarine was found lying more than 2,300 feet under water off the southwest coast of O’ahu.

The Sen Toku class boat was was intentionally scuttled by the U.S. Navy in 1946.
