Bird strike to blame for USAF HH-60 crash in Britain

An investigation board determined that a U.S. Air Force HH-60G from the 56th Rescue Squadron, 48th Fighter Wing, crashed in United Kingdom after a bird strike on Jan. 7.

The report said it “found clear and convincing evidence that multiple bird strikes caused the mishap by rendering the pilot and co-pilot unconscious and disabling the trim and flight path stabilization system.”
