Taiwan has started flying its UAVs over Taiwan Strait to monitor activities over mainland China.
Previously, the unmanned aerial vehicles will launch from its base in Taitung and monitor the eastern and southern part of the island.
The military now wants to use Hengchun airport in Pingtung as another base.
