Gorgon Stare Increment II operational in Afghanistan

A report by Jane’s suggests Increment II of the Gorgon Stare wide-area airborne surveillance (WAAS) system is operational in Afghanistan.

Based on a photo released by the U.S. Air Force, a MQ-9 was seen with two previously unknown pods on the wings.
