AgustaWestland has asked the U.S. Court of Federal Claims to block the U.S. Army’s plan to buy 155 UH-72A helicopters.
The Army said in a notice to industry on Sept. 4 that it will only buy helicopters from Airbus to replace its training helicopters.
The company argued that its AW119Kx would be cheaper and easier to operate as a training helicopter.
