Tel Aviv has approached Washington asking to preserve the discount and loan package for the V-22 that expired on Dec. 10 last year.
The Obama administration had given Israel a generous discount to buy six V-22s and offered commercial loans with cheap rates to fund the purchase.
However, Israel was not able to take up the offer in time.
