U.S. refused to compensate S. Korea over faulty SM-2 missile

A SM-2 missile fired by the South Korean Navy during Exercise RIMPAC in 2010 failed to hit its target.

It was concluded that a flaw in the missile was the cause. Since then, South Korea has been trying to get the U.S. government to compensate for the defective missile.

But Washington is refusing to compensate, stating that the weapons sold are not covered by warranty.
