Pentagon positions USS Iwo Jima, USS Fort McHenry in Red Sea

Both USS Iwo Jima and USS Fort McHenry are underway off the coast of Yemen for a possible evacuation of U.S. Embassy personnel.

On-board those ships are MV-22s from VMM-365. AV-8Bs from VMA-231 could provide the necessary firepower if needed.
