A California National Guard UH-60 made a hard landing and flipped on its side at Ramona Airport around 6 p.m. on Jan. 20.
Both pilot and co-pilot were able to crawl out of the helicopter and were later taken to the hospital as a precaution.
NBC says the crew had to make a force landing while on a routine mission.
