U.S. to launch next-generation optical spy satellite in 2018

The National Reconnaissance Office will launch a new type of optical spy satellite into space in 2018.

NROL-71 will use a Delta 4-Heavy rocket to bring the Keyhole-type satellite into orbit from Vandenberg’s Space Launch Complex 6.
