Kyodo News says a Chinese document it had obtained revealed that the People’s Liberation Army is deliberating the use of unmanned aerial vehicles to monitor the disputed Senkaku islands in East China Sea.

The document, complied last October, called for increase air patrols using UAVs as existing ships are not sufficient enough to enforce China’s claims to the island which it named Diaoyu.
