The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Defense has ordered three AW-609s from AgustaWestland for search-and-rescue duties. They will be assigned to UAE’s Joint Aviation Command.
AgustaWestland will deliver the aircraft in 2019 and the customer has an option for three more aircraft.
