Obama might nominate a woman to head NORAD

U.S. President might nominate a woman to take charge of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), Pentagon sources tell NPR.

Two women being shortlisted are Gen. Lori J. Robinson Commander, Pacific Air Forces and Adm. Michelle Howard, the Vice Chief of Naval Operations.

This will be the first time a woman is chosen as the head of a military combatant command.
