Target date for delivery of INS Vikrant is December 2018

India’s Minister of State for Defense Rao Inderjit Singh says the indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant will be handed over to the Indian Navy in December 2018.

Singh said the “non-availability of warship grade steel, delayed ordering of Propulsion System Integration and delay in Russian approvals for design and equipment supply” were reasons for the hold back.
