Hunter T7 that crashed had out of date parts

The U.K. Air Accidents Investigation Branch’s (AAIB) probe into the fatal crash of a Hawker Hunter T7 at the Shoreham air show found that the jet’s ejection seat parts had expired and its technical manual had not been updated.

Investigators also called on the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to review its procedures for allowing retired military aircraft to fly. The CAA was initially unable to confirm to AAIB if the Hunter had a valid permit to fly.
