By comparing with historical satellite images, citizen journalists website Belligcat has concluded that China is ramping up its military activities near its border with India with the deployment of J-10s, J-11s and the upgrading of a surface-to-air missile site.
Approximately two miles east of Gonggar airbase in Lhasa, Tibet, the HQ-2 missile site was dismantled around 2010 and a new HQ-12 unit moved in sometime around 2014.
