Serbia is keen to purchase the S-300 air defense system from Russia but is put off by the price. Visiting Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin told Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic that Moscow will look into Serbia’s request.

Vucic said the air defense system is needed as neighboring Croatia is planning to acquire ballistic missiles with range of up to 300km. This will put entire Serbia under target.
