INS Vikramaditya in Maldives from today till Feb. 18

After Sri Lanka, the Indian Navy has dispatched its newest aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya to Maldives for a port visit.

Together with INS Mysore and INS Deepak, the warship will dock in Male from Feb. 15 till 18.

The navy said in a statement that “during the visit, the warships will have professional interactions with the MNDF (Maldives National Defence Forces) for further enhancing the close co-operation between the two forces. In addition, a number of sports and social engagements, aimed at strengthening ties and mutual understanding between the two navies, are also planned.”
