Not one but six SM-2s fired as IKE CSG conducts COMPTUEX

The Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is currently conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) to prepare for an upcoming deployment. As part of the training exercise, warships from the CSG fired their SM-2 anti-air missiles for training.



The carrier’s escorts are: guided-missile cruisers USS San Jacinto (CG 56) and USS Monterey (CG 61), and Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 26 with its associated ships: USS Stout (DDG 55), USS Roosevelt (DDG 80), USS Mason (DDG 87) and USS Nitze (DDG 94).
