After a visit to Embraer’s plant, Portugal’s defense minister, Azeredo Lopes, said his country is still interested in getting the KC-390 and that a decision is expected soon.
Lopes said Portugal’s C-130 fleet has only 10 years of life left in them despite a modernization program.
