F414-GE-400 selected to power KF-X

General Electric’s F414-GE-400 after-burning engine has been selected by South Korea to power its next fighter – the KF-X.

General Electric is the preferred bidder over Eurojet which offered the EJ200. A contract is expected to be signed next month.
