The Colombian Army lost 17 of its soldiers when a Mi-17 transport helicopter crashed north-west of Bogota on Jun. 26.

All seventeen on board were traveling from Quibdo, in the northern Choco province, to an army base in Tolemaida before it went missing. The wreckage was discovered on the 27th.
The military says poor weather could have played a part in the accident.
