A Hellenic Air Force Canadair CL-215 crashed on Jun. 26 as the amphibian was busy fighting wild fires near Athens.

The aircraft (# 1111) from 111 Combat Wing had suffered an engine failure and the crew decided to do a force landing. Luckily, both men managed to escape without serious injuries.
