A U.S. OC-135B Open Skies observation aircraft with Russian observers on board was forced to make an emergency landing at Khabarovsk airport in Russia on Jul. 27.

The jet took off from a Russian airfield in Ulan Ude and the crew noticed that the undercarriage could not retract fully.
A decision was then taken to land at Khabarovsk airport so that the Russian observers can deplane and the jet can proceed to Japan for repairs.
