S-300, S-400 repelled simulated air strikes by MiG-29SMTs

A recent exercise in Russia’s Western Military District saw S-300 and S-400 air defense systems stationed in Leningrad and Moscow regions repelled simulated air strikes carried out by 12 MiG-29SMT fighters.

District spokesman Igor Muginov said more than 300 personnel took part along with more than 100 equipment.

The exercise also proved the MiG-29SMTs a chance to practice penetrating heavily-defended airspace to carry out missile strikes on targets.
