PLA officers on exchange studies spent considerable time at RAF Fylingdales

Two PLA officers were admitted into the foreign exchange student program at the Royal Air Force College and it was found out that during their free time, they were visiting the RAF Fylingdales ballistic missile early warning station instead of tourist attractions.

The two “ground engineers” were identified as Lt. G Huang and Capt. S Tong. They graduate last October after completing a 18-month course.

British intelligence services decided to monitor their activities by tracking the usage of their weekend passes. It was found that they had spent 60 percent of their time in North York Moors.
