Prosecutors from Taiwan’s Kaohsiung District are bringing three Republic of China Navy officers to court for their role in the accidental firing of a HF-3 supersonic anti-ship missile last month.

Petty Officer Second Class Kao Chia-chun was charged with negligence and causing the death of a fishing boat captain. Kao’s supervisor, Chief Petty Officer Chen Ming-hsiu, and the ship’s weapon systems officer Lt. Hsu Po-wei were indicted for neglecting their duties.
