The Pentagon has awarded AMI Industries Inc. a $14 million contract to update the Advanced Conception Ejection Seat (ACES) II ejection seat installed on the B-2 stealth bomber.

As stated in Contract Release No: CR-176-16, the new seat “will be composed of a detachable seatback and bucket structure that does not require removal of the B-2 escape hatches for any maintenance task.”
