Boeing promise Trump that new Air Force One will cost less than $4 billion

Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg met incoming U.S. President Donald Trump on Dec. 21 and the aerospace company has promise him that the cost of replacing Air Force One with the 747-8 will not exceed $4 billion.

Muilenburg later told reporters that his meeting with Trump was “productive” and he spoke admiringly of Trump’s “business head-set.”

Attending the same meeting was Marillyn Hewson, CEO of Lockheed Martin. Trump had criticized the F-35 program as being too expensive. Hewson chose not to speak to reporters and issued a statement afterwards saying the meeting was “productive.”
