U.S. military attache has left Pakistan

A U.S. military attache in Pakistan has managed to leave the country after he was initially barred from leaving.

Col. Joseph Hall was involved in a fatal road accident in Islamabad on Apr. 11 that killed a 22-year-old motorcycle driver. A Pakistan court had prevented him from leaving the country and a C-130 that had arrived last week to fetch him away had to depart without him.

A State Department spokesperson told Reuters that the diplomat has since left the country.
