The naval variant of the Tejas has snagged an cross deck pendant (CDP) with its arrestor hook for the first time.
Naval prototype 2 (NP2) was used in the test with Captain Shivnath Dahiya at the controls. He engaged the arresting cable at a low speed between 50 to 60 knots.
The speed factor will gradually increase with the jet eventually testing at its landing speed of 130 knots.
