Philippine Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol disclosed last month that the Air Force has been using two of its C-130 cargo planes to transport fruits and vegetables to Metro Manila from Mindanao.

“The program is credited in bringing down the prices of vegetables in the Metro Manila market which spiked after Typhoon Ompong,” Piñol said in a Facebook post.
