INS Vikramaditya will soon be equipped with an indigenous Optical Landing System developed by the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO).
It is now undergoing shore-based trials and will offer better clarity and longer viewing distances to MiG-29K pilots compared to the Russian one.
