F-35 pilot requalified to refuel aircraft

Maj. Michael Slotten, a F-35A pilot assigned to 421st Fighter Squadron, was requalified to refuel aircraft on Jul. 11 at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.

Slotten has started his career in the Air Force as an Airman first class fuels distributor operator. He was stationed at Spangdahlem 15 years ago.

He recently reunited with his former shift supervisor who is currently stationed there again. Both men toured the POL building where Slotten used to work and visited the flightline where Slotten had the opportunity to refuel an F-35.
