The U.S. Navy has successfully test-fired the GQM-163A Coyote Supersonic Sea Skimming Target (SSST) from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) in Virginia on Sept. 12.

This is the first time the missile has been test-fired from the East Coast of conterminous United States.
Wallops Flight Facility can now support fleet missile exercise (MSLEX) training with supersonic target capability.
