Saudi Arabia orders 1,052 AGM-84 missiles

Saudi Arabia has placed a large order of AGM-84 missiles with Boeing. The company will deliver 650 AGM-84K SLAM ER and 402 Harpoon Block II missiles to the Gulf state.

The order for the SLAM ER missiles is worth $1.9 billion. While the Lot 91 Harpoon Block II full rate production order is worth $656 million for 467 missiles with 4 missiles going to Brazil, 8 for Thailand and 53 for Qatar. The Harpoon contract also covers support equipment for the governments of Japan, the Netherlands, India and South Korea.

Delivery of the SLAM ER is to be completed by December 2028.
